Titled Finding Dollars to Pay for Heath Care, this editorial proposed the United States can either make the hard choices needed to reform health care (read : a decade of new taxes) or watch during that time as millions of people lose their health insurance and premiums skyrocket.

Meanwhile, in Congress the reform continued to fall apart and little had been accomplished. Compared with criticism and doubt that the nation can afford to reform the health care system in the midst of a deep recession, President Obama noted, "the costs of not doing anything are even greater."
